Personal Touches

One of my joys is seeing a new friend's house for the first time and being pleasantly surprised with the uniqueness and creativity that has gone into the interior design. The first time I stepped foot into my friend Bailey's condo, I had this feeling. I was intrigued by the furniture selection, artwork, and punches of creativity throughout the space. Bailey is a Mississippi native who has transplanted to Memphis, bringing some of her favorite pieces from home with her. My personal favorite is a drop down desk that Bailey's mother faux finished for her. She bought what Bailey describes as a "hideous bright blue" paint from the returned colors at Lowe's, and artistically transformed it into a beautiful finish. Here are just a few of my favorite personal touches throughout the condo: Contemporary and colorful chenille and denton print Sitting room, featuring a local Mississippi artist, Shirley Lester Nook with a faux finished drop down desk A detail of the faux finish
Though the condo space is limited, I love how Bailey placed a thin table between the sofa and wall. Not much space is lost, but the detail it adds with the mirror is brilliant.
