My mom is really the green thumb and I usually wait for her to visit Memphis before I attempt to redo my planters each season. This year, I decided to give them a go by myself... My color inspiration was this wax tablecloth I bought last year which I use outside on our patio.
| Actually a 2yd piece of wax cloth fabric I cut to fit my table |
After a trip to Home Depot where I stocked up on moisture control soil (I'm really bad about daily watering, so maybe this will help?!), Osmocote, and an array of colorful lovelies, I was ready to do some planting.
| Front of the planter... I spy marigolds and purple and pink purslane, for a cascading look |
Back of the planter...Pink petunias and yellow strawflowers...
the planter is wrapped in coconut straw |
Love these dahlias in lime green pots I got from the Skyros Warehouse sale for $2!
| A start to some basil and rosemary by the back door. My mint from last year is struggling a little over there in that pot on the left side. It does grow back like a weed, though!! |
And a last pot of gerber daises for another splash of color!
