The Environment Club at my school, learned about my art background and enlisted my help in a "Recycled Art Project" where the students are taking people's junk and trash and creating works of art. In the works are an alligator made of a trash can, Elvis made of a guitar and a walker, and a camera made out of a paper box, light fixture, and table, to name a few. I hope to share some of those later when they come a little more to fruition.
One of the examples the science teacher showed was by Alisha Case, an artist in Birmingham, AL, and it just brought up my love of utensils.

My first acquisition was the Fork Man I got in Argentina that was drinking mate, the regional tea drink. That didn't go over to well in customs, as you may imagine.

I also have a whole board dedicated to my love of utensils on my Pinterest page http://pinterest.com/paigehbaker/utensil-love/.

Then when we remodeled our kitchen, (more on that later), I chose utensil pulls for our drawers. I loved them, and as cheesy as they may be, they make me happy every time I open a drawer in my kitchen.
I am also loving this cookbook stand from Anthropologie:
